Students will not receive Alma aid (including tuition exchange benefits, where applicable) for the semester off-campus, though they will be eligible for an additional term of Alma aid if they choose to stay on campus for a 9th term. Students can use any federal and state aid for which they are eligible toward the off-campus program. In the absence of an Alma tuition charge, an Alma College Administrative Fee of $490 will be assessed to help cover administrative costs associated with processes and oversight.

Language majors who are studying abroad to fulfill a language program requirement will have the option of being assessed Alma tuition and receiving Alma aid (at the level they receive for on-campus enrollment) for up to one semester off campus or the fee structure described above (including access to a 9th term of aid if it is unused due to the off-campus experience).

All program related fees other than tuition such as room, board, books, etc. that are invoiced to Alma College will also be added to the Alma College student account.
Estimated Costs: As part of the Off-Campus Study application process for a non-Alma program, you will be asked to submit a cost estimate (template provided) for an estimate of this program. The Off-Campus Study office staff will prepare a cost estimate form that you will use when you make an appointment with the Financial Aid Office for staff to review your financial aid options. As part of the Off-Campus Study application process, you will be directed to upload this form once you have met with Financial Aid.
