What is Included: Participating students will be assessed the cost of the host program’s tuition, room and board. Other fees invoiced to Alma College by the program will also be added to the Alma College student account. A Registration Fee of $500 will be assessed to help cover administrative costs associated with processes and oversight.

Program Description

The Chicago Center for Urban Life & Culture

The Chicago Center challenges students to integrate their personal, professional and public lives through internships, academic seminars and urban experience. Students will experience interning and living in a large city while learning about personal values, vocational goals and collective responsibility to society.

Their network of agencies, corporate organizations, arts groups, and other institutions provides internships that allow students to contribute in significant and meaningful ways within a supportive work environment.

The Chicago Center is an expert at helping students incorporate special interests into an internship. Language opportunities within an internship in Chicago are limitless.
